This privately held, family-owned Texas business provides automated retail, micro-market, and office beverage solutions across the state. With operations in Austin, San Antonio, Dallas, Houston, and El Paso, the company serves a loyal B2B customer base that includes government faciltiies and logistics hubs.

The company stands apart through its customer-centric culture and an ongoing investment in operational modernization. The business is fully funded and overseen by a family office managing its assets and strategic direction.

The Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic, operationally minded Chief Executive Officer to lead it into its next phase of profitable growth and long-term strategic development. The CEO will be responsible for full P&L ownership, cultural alignment across multiple locations, optimization of internal operations, and execution of an ambitious strategic plan that includes geographic focus, system modernization, and eventual business succession planning.

The ideal candidate will bring strong commercial and leadership acumen, a passion for building scalable organizations, and the ability to engage effectively with a hands-on ownership group.

Responsibilities

  • Executive Leadership: Lead the company’s overall strategy, operations, and culture; serve as the primary steward of performance, alignment, and accountability across all functions and branches.
  • Operational Optimization: Oversee system improvements including ERP implementation, leverage proprietary telemetry software for operational insights, and process upgrades that enable performance visibility and operational rigor.
  • Cultural Alignment: Build a unified, people-centric culture across locations; instill clear leadership cadence, performance standards, and organizational trust.
  • Sales & Market Development: Evaluate and improve commercial team performance, develop scalable go-to-market strategies, and grow share in the company’s core geographic regions.
  • Strategic Execution: Guide the company’s focused growth; oversee the divestiture of non-core markets; and prepare the business for future strategic succession or exit.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain active, transparent communication with the family office, board advisors, and key operational leaders; partner closely with internal finance and external consultants as needed.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 7+ years of executive leadership with full P&L responsibility and success leading multi-site operations
  • Industry Exposure: Vending, CPG, route-based services, logistics, retail operations, or distribution preferred; related industries welcome
  • Leadership Qualities:
    • Highly accountable, clear communicator, and culturally grounded
    • Collaborative, low ego, with a builder’s mindset
    • Strong commercial orientation and people development skills
  • Skills:
    • Operational scaling and system implementation (ERP, BI tools)
    • Financial performance management and data-driven decision making
    • Organizational design and talent development
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
