The Role

The Project Engineering Manager will be responsible for effectively planning, directing, and assessing the daily operations of the engineering team. This includes managing schedules for engineers and 1099 contractors, acting as the main point of contact for customers, visiting projects onsite, assisting in training and development, and quoting new projects. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills and a strong technical background in automation engineering
Responsibilities
- Schedule Management: Develop and oversee project schedules for engineering teams and contractors, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of objectives. Address potential delays proactively to meet customer expectations.
- Customer Relations: Act as the primary customer liaison, ensuring clear communication, timely resolution of inquiries, and a focus on building lasting relationships.
- Onsite Support: Regularly visit project sites to assess progress, address challenges, and ensure alignment with specifications and quality standards.
- Training and Development: Identify team training needs, organize skill enhancement programs, and foster a collaborative culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- Quoting New Projects: Prepare comprehensive project quotes, including labor and cost breakdowns, while addressing customer inquiries promptly.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Proven experience in project engineering or management, preferably in Automation engineering.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required
