The Role:  Sr. Director of Marketing
Location:  Remote, USA (15% Travel)

The Role

As the Director of Marketing at MALK Organics, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our brand. You will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with our mission and values. This role requires a strategic thinker who can manage vendor relationships, oversee the marketing budget, and ensure consistency across all marketing efforts. You will work closely with our Marketing Team to develop impactful marketing tactics that resonate with our target audience, and you will be a thought leader in executing a brand refresh.


Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning & Execution:
    • Develop and execute a cohesive marketing calendar that aligns with business objectives and brand goals.
    • Lead the strategic planning process, determining key vendors, and establishing marketing priorities for the year.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on marketing initiatives and product launches.
  • Vendor Management:
    • Manage relationships with external vendors, including agencies, designers, and creative resources.
    • Evaluate vendor performance, negotiate contracts, and ensure deliverables meet the brand’s standards.
    • Oversee vendor selection, onboarding, and ongoing communication to ensure seamless execution of marketing campaigns.
  • Budget & Spend Management:
    • Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources across channels and initiatives.
    • Track and report on marketing spend, ensuring alignment with financial goals and ROI expectations.
    • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising the quality or effectiveness of marketing efforts.
  • Marketing Tactics & Campaign Development:
    • Lead the development of marketing tactics that drive brand awareness, consumer engagement, and sales growth.
    • Work closely with the creative team to ensure consistency in messaging and visual identity across all touchpoints.
    • Oversee the execution of integrated marketing campaigns, including digital, social media, email, and in-store promotions.
  • Consumer Research & Data Analysis:
    • Utilize consumer research and insights to inform marketing strategies and drive data-driven decision-making.
    • Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities.
    • Leverage data analysis tools to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and optimize campaigns.
  • Brand Development & Creative Direction:
    • Serve as a thought partner to the creative team, providing guidance and feedback.
    • Support the ongoing brand refresh, ensuring alignment with brand values and market positioning.
    • If applicable, contribute to creative design efforts, though design expertise is not a requirement for this role.


Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in marketing, with a strong background in the food & beverage, CPG, or cyclic consumer goods industries.
  • Proven experience in managing marketing budgets, vendor relationships, and executing marketing calendars.
  • Strong knowledge of consumer research, data analysis, and product marketing.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze market trends, anticipate opportunities and develop strategic insights
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel), data analysis tools, Canva, and Figma.
  • Experience in retail and wholesale marketing
  • A track record of increase HH penetration and driving brand awareness
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Ability to think strategically while also being hands-on in execution.
  • Experience with brand development and multi-channel marketing.
