The Role

We are looking for an energetic, highly-motivated self-starter to join the team as a Product Catalog Manager. This individual will take ownership of the product department and enjoy operating at a managerial level as well as getting down to technical details. The ideal candidate will have experience managing product development of physical products, possess a good understanding product economics, and be comfortable managing manufacturing relationships with both international and domestic vendors. This role includes managing and expanding the product catalog, including taking accountability for product data, quality control, and compliance issues, while helping to manage and improve product department processes as we continue to grow. Responsibilities

  • Maintain and grow the product catalog while taking accountability for product specifications and data quality
  • Manage vendor relationships to meet the manufacturing requirements
  • Manage quality control processes, including oversight of product inspections and product testing
  • Take ownership of product department projects and manage communication between departments
  • Troubleshoot and lead resolution processes for manufacturing problems and related issues, such as relabeling or repacking
  • Ensure all labeling and packaging requirements are accurately and consistently met
  • Manage product compliance, including product safety and CPSIA standard verification
  • Manage product listings, including high quality and accurate photos and description
  • Work cross-departmentally to build catalog profitability

Qualifications

  • Highly detail oriented and organized, with strong follow-through
  • Naturally curious and entrepreneurial, with a willingness to experiment and test new ideas
  • High sense of urgency, with the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience managing a catalog of physical products, with direct experience developing new products
  • Experience managing the technical details of product development, quality control, and product testing including factors such as materials, dimensions, tolerances, packaging, etc.
  • Ability to manage detailed specifications to ensure legal compliance
  • Have an understanding of product economics, with experience managing product profitability
