The Role: Financial Planning & Analysis Manager
Location: Pflugerville, TX

The Role

The FP&A Manager role will be responsible for all facets of corporate and consolidated financial planning and analysis.  This role will be deeply involved with high-profile strategic and operational initiatives, deliver business analytics and insights, and make recommendations for short- and long-term decisions.  To contribute meaningfully to business planning and forecasting, including the development of annual operating budgets and multi-year plans and the evolution of the company’s financial & business planning processes to support an increasingly complex system.  This role also supports ad hoc projects and opportunities for broad cross-functional interactions.


  • Key contributor providing executives with clear insights into drivers of business growth, risks and opportunities.
  • Contribute to forecast, budget and long range planning cycles, including enhancing the company’s corporate model and coordinating with stakeholders on assumptions & inputs.
  • Gather, consolidate and analyze operating and financial results for financial statements, including preparing internal and external reporting deliverables and analyzing and explaining trends & drivers.
  • Assist with management, Board business and financial planning, including presentations and key analysis request.
  • Serves as a key liaison and partner to cross-functional teams, including Finance, Accounting, IT and other teams to drive scalable analyses and insights.
  • Assist with ad hoc strategic and operational projects as required.
  • Developing efficiencies and process improvements with the teams work streams.
  • Developing, coordinating, and reporting budgets and forecasts for individual departments.
  • Monthly reporting and variance analysis.
  • Product margins and performance.
  • Producing models to project long term growth and determine the impacting business factors.
  • Analyzing financial and operational results to better understand company performance.
  • Reviewing operations and recommending new productivity or cost saving initiatives.
  • Communicating results and recommendations to the Board for improvements that will lead to cost reduction, revenue generation and streamlining operations.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 8 years of finance or financial planning and analysis experience
  • Experience with financial statement analysis and a knowledge of corporate finance concepts
  • Strong presentation skills to present to high level roles internally and external investors
  • Strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, insight into group dynamics, high tolerance for ambiguity and change, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to build collaborative, trustworthy relationships across functions and geographies.
  • Strategic, enterprise-wide and systems thinking.
  • Good analytical and deductive reasoning skills.
  • Strong knowledge of planning and performance processes, including annual budget, monthly forecast and periodic business reviews
  • Strong knowledge of accounting, controlling and finance operations.
  • Independent self-starter with a high attention to detail
  • Advanced computer software skills, including writing macros in Excel and other accounting packages

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Detailed oriented and experience multi-tasking and shifting priorities quickly under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Experience managing multiple workstreams end-to-end
  • Comfortable with building models independently
