The Role

The sales manager will be responsible for identifying, researching, contacting possible new markets, opportunities and customers. The general and primary function of this position is to produce revenue growth within the Sales Group by meeting / exceeding the group’ s Key Performance Indicators.   The sales manager is expected to work with and determine what customers want, assist in identifying surface finishing applications, and ensure a smooth sales process.


  • Interact with the equipment engineer on all aspects of equipment projects
  • Interact with Technical Account Engineer as needed on customer support
  • Liaise with other departments (RRG, Ops) on Sales Projects
  • Procurement of new customers utilizing the sales process
  • Procure new revenue/profit thru self-generated leads, lead follow up and prospect qualification
  • Project Development/Advancement (Prospect Forward)
  • Project scoping/Defining of deliverables (Budget Identification)
  • Commercial Selling/Negotiation
  • Deal structure (Contracts, etc.)
  • Closing of business
  • Customer growth (New Products/Lines)
  • General sales project management
  • Full Utilization of CRM; Weekly updates and documentation of sales activities per company’ s SoPs
  • Full responsibility for customer satisfaction to close, support of Technical Account Engineer as needed after close
  • Work with Marketing to generate clients and prospects
  • Work with Marketing as directed by regional sales manager to generate content for technical papers, tradeshows, and the company website
  • Responsible for revenue, profit, and cost KPIs
  • Manage yearly sales forecast and budget projections to plan and promptly inform US/EU Sales Manager should changes occur
  • Tradeshow representation, preparation, and post show feedback
  • Technical paper support
  • Travel to attend seminars, technical associations may be required


  • Two years prior related work experience required
  • Bachelor’ s degree preferred, work experience will be considered in lieu of educational experience
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of current ISF technologies
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
