The Role

We are seeking a professional and enthusiastic candidate to fill our Inside Sales Leader position. To be successful in this role, you should have previous sales leadership experience, a personable demeanor, the ability to manage and energize a sales team, and be able to consistently set and reach goals. This role reports to the regional sales manager and requires minimal travel.

  • Work closely with the regional sales manager to evaluate and set sales objectives on an account basis throughout the territory (i.e., craft account plans)
  • Create inside sales account game plans (i.e., weekly and daily goals/quotas) and communicate clear direction to inside sales staff; Sales planning aligns with larger business objectives (i.e., around products and services) and is in concert with outside sales representatives’ schedules
  • Partner with the location operations team to ensure delivery and customer service expectations are consistently met as well as address any changes, modifications, upgrades, etc. to the physical building and showroom space.
  • Analyze trends and to discover new opportunities for growth; leverage existing CRM reporting, creating new CRM reporting, and use data-driven account plans
  • Create account performance reports for the regional sales manager on a daily or weekly basis; Perform CRM analytics at the request of the regional sales manager to determine daily and weekly “ hit list”
  • Own reporting of daily account sales, showroom traffic and revenue, monitor holds and enforce the on-hold policies
  • Drive business growth by discovering new opportunities, clients, and customers; consistently reach and exceed sales quotas
  • Deliver value by forging new strategic relationships and understanding market dynamics/demand
  • Hire, develop, and train all gallery consultants and inside sales representatives
  • Evaluate and influences productivity and teamwork to ensure the delivery of incredible customer service throughout the process
  • Audit/listen in on live calls to train the inside sales team on how to identify opportunities in the sale, employ negotiating tactics, and maintain relationships; schedule, perform, and assess employees through observing skills/techniques first-hand on a monthly basis
  • Personally handles escalated customer and showroom floor issues that come from the inside sales representatives and gallery consultant staff
  • Assist in implementing sales training and promotion and reward programs for associates
  • Educate and produce top selling associates through proven sales principles
  • Organize and execute meetings, events, and special programs for inside sales teams
  • Lead, inspire and drive sales team on a daily and weekly basis
  • Achieve, log and perform personal and departmental written objectives as provided or determined throughout the fiscal year
  • Implementation of channel marketing special events/events/promotions
  • Work closely with the regional sales managers and operations partners to forecast demand (SIOP) and understand inventory limitations so that can be communicated down to the sales reps
  • Complete all sales transactions and processing of payments, and work closely with operations partners so they can schedule trucking and delivery of material to customer, based on delivery schedule
  • Work closely with operations partner to troubleshoot any customer issues during delivery process; Monitor stock levels and communicate needs to operations
  • Responsible for 100% accuracy of CRM account data in the territory, partnering with all sales representatives to keep account transactions and literature up to date
  • Retains up-to-date knowledge of all company products, promotions, and programs to on-board and re-train staff as needed

  • Bachelor’ s degree or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years’ experience in sales
  • Inside sales experience in a distribution model highly preferred
  • Stone or building construction products industry experience highly preferred
  • Past supervisory experience
  • History of developing sales and representatives in a region or territory
  • Business development experience developing new customers and markets
  • Experience with CRM as a sales tool (Salesforce, etc.)
  • Data analytics to identify opportunities in the market
  • Must have a detailed, curious, problem-solver orientation, with experience solving client challenges
  • Working knowledge of managing through KPI’ s and scorecards
  • Exceptional written and oral presentation skills
  • Must be self-driven, personable, social, and have a positive attitude
  • Must be able to think strategically and work autonomously
  • Direct, assertive, fearless and ready for the challenge
  • Must be passionate, highly driven and highly motivated to help us get to the next level
  • Must have a valid driver’ s license and be able to be insured through company insurance
