The Company

HireBetter has been retained to identify an IT Systems Administrator Manager for a leading manufacturer of consumer electronics products in the Austin, TX area. Our client designs and delivers industry leading, award winning products known for their engineering, aesthetic and design qualities.

The Role

The IT Systems Administrator Manager reports directly to the CFO. As the IT Systems Administrator Manager, you will manage all technical related tasks and work to ensure a smooth transition in relocation from New York to Austin.

  • Install and configure computer hardware and softwarees
  • Manage network servers and technology tools
  • Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
  • Respond in a timely manner to service issues and requests
  • Provide technical support across the company; diagnose and solve hardware/software faults
  • Set up accounts for new users
  • Repair and replace equipment as necessary
  • Test new technology
  • Assist with the technology side of new initiatives across departments (marketing, customer service, sales, logistics)
  • Protect customer data from outside infiltration through encryption, secure data storage and other necessary means
  • Assess infrastructure on a regular basis to ensure it continues to meet necessary demands
  • Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
  • Experience building out the IT function and support team
  • Work across the company cross functionally at all levels
  • Design and process map, implement systems and policies pertaining to the IT function
  • Configure Meraki hardware, firewalls, switches and WAPS
  • Maintain Amazon web portal
  • Procurement of IT equipment and application software for SMB’ s

  • Ten plus years of experience in an IT position with five plus years managing a team
  • Must have experience working with both PC and MAC
  • Possess knowledge in current technological advancements and trends
  • Must possess the ability to work both strategically and tactically
  • Internal customer service skills and the ability to work with people at all levels across the organization
  • Comfortable managing a 24x7 support environment
  • Experience with NetSuite, SuiteScript, web development experience a plus, especially as it pertains to data integration
  • Experience with shipping software (UPS WorldShip and various software for shipping integration
  • Experience in the consumer electronics industry in a high transaction, business to consumer environment
  • Administration of Cloud-based storage, Google Drive and OneDrive
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in MSOffice
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
