The Role: Vice President of Sales
Location: Austin, TX
The ideal candidate will have a successful and proven background in leading strategic sales and revenue efforts, ideally in the SaaS, software, or healthcare industry. This role represents a significant growth opportunity for the right individual who can successfully drive the company’ s sales strategy as the company scales to $100 million in revenue. Reporting to the CEO, the Vice President of Sales will serve as a member of the executive team, charged with driving strategic sales decision-making as well as management of the team.
Develop and execute marketing plans that drive lead generation
Create marketing collateral and messaging across the portfolio of company products
Develop scalable processes and procedures in support of the company’ s rapid growth
Implement data driven KPIs/metrics to measure and forecast continued marketing success
Work cross-functionally to ensure overall company success
Provide development, leadership, and structure to the existing marketing team
Assess talent gaps, recruit, and onboard next-level talent from outside of the organization to drive growth
10 to 15 years of overall sales experience with at least 5 years as a VP of Sales or VP of Revenue in high-growth environments, with specific experience in companies whose revenues have grown in excess of $50MM
Bachelor’ s degree required, MBA is a plus
B2B SaaS experience is ideal, general software background is preferred
Expertise in healthcare and knowledge of the key industry players is ideal
Experience in a strategic sales role with companies scaling from $20 million to $100 million and beyond and an understanding of the growth pattern and behaviors required to successfully do so
Exceptional leadership skills, evidenced by successfully building, motivating, and managing high-performance teams in high growth environments. Specific experience in building both an outside and inside sales force
A history of effectively partnering as part of an extremely collaborative senior management team in support of business objectives
Ability to set and achieve company and individual metrics and goals, and hold teams accountable
A proven track record of achieving and exceeding growth plans. Demonstrated operational expertise and executive leadership.
