THE ROLE:  Senior Sales Executive/Sales Leader LOCATION:   Virtual (Must reside in the Northeast)

Our client takes a truly unique approach to solving their clients inventory needs.  With over 20 years of experience in healthcare and technology, our client took a fresh look at the pains endured by healthcare professionals responsible for periodic inventory counts.  With a few rare exceptions, every organization in the healthcare industry struggles with inventory counts. Our client has set out to solve these issues with solutions that make physical inventory valuation accurate, simple and fast.


This Senior Sales Executive/Sales Leader role is a game changing role for our client that will report directly to the Vice President of Sales and be responsible for hunting new business and maximizing sales opportunities.  The Senior Sales Executive will lead all elements of the sales efforts in their region to drive new business. After successfully integrating into the role, this role will transition into the Sales Leader for the company, managing all sales efforts.

  • Identify companies and contacts in the healthcare market (primarily acute care hospitals)
  • Call and email prospects to setup initial phone/web discussions
  • Clearly articulate capabilities, value and differentiation
  • Conduct intro web presentations on company solutions and identify near-term and long-term opportunities; gain commitment to next steps for near-term opportunities
  • Develop and deliver customer proposals
  • Negotiate agreements and obtain purchase orders
  • Maintain relationships with customers; identify new opportunities within existing accounts; request referrals from contacts at existing customers to new contacts at other divisions/locations or other companies
  • Maintain all customer and prospect information in CRM system including the following: company information, contact information, activities (calls, emails, meetings, etc.) and opportunity information on a daily basis
  • Provide a weekly sales forecast to management
  • Attend trade shows and conferences as needed
  • Assist with customer on-boarding as needed
  • Work closely with support for pre and post-sale follow up
  • Travel to customer and prospect offices regularly.  At least 50% of time traveling
  • Achieve minimum success metrics for number of calls, presentations, on-site meetings and won sales opportunities

  • At least five years’ experience in selling $25, 000 to $100, 000+ software solutions
  • SaaS experience a plus with a thorough knowledge of the structure and benefits of a hosted software solution
  • Healthcare industry experience; sales of medical device equipment and other medical/surgical products to hospital supply chain members a plus
  • Regular use of a strategic selling methodology
  • Active user of (or another CRM)
  • Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • WebEx or other web conferencing solution
  • Bachelors or Masters of Business degree
  • Key Attributes:  honest, aggressive, organized, creative, energetic, optimistic
  • Be an active team player both from a sales perspective and throughout the entire organization to help meet overall company goals
