HireBetter has been retained to identify a Chief Sales Officer for Hart InterCivic. For nearly 100 years, Hart InterCivic has served the needs of state and local governments across the U.S.  Since 2000, Hart has cemented its position as a leading provider of election management and voting systems serving more than 400 jurisdictions in 14 states including 2 of the 5 largest counties.  Hart InterCivic is financially strong and growing with strong momentum.  They are making significant investments in research and development and sales to bring the next generation of voting systems to market.  The Chief Sales Officer will be an integral part of the growth equation through development of their “ go-to” market strategy, increasing revenue generation and developing strategic initiatives relating to new sales and customer renewals.    

Responsibilities:

As a sales strategist, responsibilities include promoting the growth of revenue, brand and market share.  The Chief Sales Officer will also be directly responsible for account development/expansion and organizational responsibility for the company’ s Marketing team. 

 
  • Lead efforts to develop and manage a sustainable pipeline
  • Develop territories and compensation plans
  • Lead, inspire, mentor and retain the sales team to achieve quarter and annual revenue growth
  • Manage and support key operation functions including: budget planning, metrics management, forecasting accuracy, customer relationships and pipeline
  • Strategic thinking while able to execute tactically
  • Design sales plans and playbook through competitive analysis, thoughtful product positioning and execution of “ go-to” market strategies
  • Develop collaborative relationships with the executive team to support the needs of the direct sales team, including marketing, finance products and service
  • Directly participate in closing deals with target accounts and drive business initiatives for future success

Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience selling technology solutions including software and services
  • Four-year degree
  • Five years of successful executive management of sales organizations including a successful track record of hiring, developing and retaining teams
  • The ability to travel 50%
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
