The Role

The Vice President of Marketing is a hands-on,  sales-oriented leader and entrepreneur with  digital marketing and operating experience, seeking to join a successful technology consulting services firm and launch a digital agency division. The Vice President of Marketing will act in a business development capacity by following up with warm leads, deepening relationships with our partners, growing existing accounts, developing the pitch/approach and closing business deals. This role is also pivotal in counseling clients through the “ why” and the “ how” of improving or setting up their e-commerce sites. This a rare opportunity for someone with a successful operating history, outstanding people skills and business development expertise to build something with the support of a sharp and dedicated team.

Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively with the owner to understand objectives for the business, as well as to provide critical insights necessary for stakeholders to provide effective support
  • Develop strategies that help clients acquire more customers, increase conversion rate, decrease bounce rate, and increase average order size
  • Ensures high customer satisfaction by delivering projects on time, within budget, and with high quality and reuse across projects
  • Expands the company’ s offerings into managed e-commerce solutions, including the creative, strategic and operational aspects of running an e-commerce business
  • Integrate across all operating functional areas to develop maximum alignment and prioritization of effort within the company
  • Profitability of the new division within the firm
  • Provide accurate, actionable and measurable recommendations to clients

Qualifications
  • At least 10 years of experience at a digital agency, preferably with professional services or consulting expertise
  • At least 5 years of experience selling and delivering digital marketing solutions
  • E-commerce expertise desired
  • Ability to clearly and convincingly articulate your strategies and recommendations to c-level clients
  • Complete commitment to customer satisfaction
  • A collaborative and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Demonstrated history of strong sales growth, leveraging successful marketing strategies to attract prospective clients to the firm
  • Expert in new customer acquisition, including market identification, lead generation, and sales management
  • Previous experience running a division of a large professional services firm or the digital marketing agency
  • Strong leadership and management skills
