The Role:  Interim Human Resource Manager
Location: Austin, TX

We are currently searching for an Interim Human Resource Manager to work at one of our large, non-profit clients.  The Interim Human Resource Manager will be responsible for managing and administration of all human resource areas for your business units.  A successful candidate will be a strong team member with the ability to take ownership and work independently.   The Interim Human Resource Manager will be the expert in ADA, FMLA, STD and LTD.

  • Manage and resolve any questions around the comprehensive compensation.
  • Experienced with full-cycle recruitment (open position to on-boarding) including a high focus on the candidate experience from applicant to employee.
  • Subject matter expert (SME) as it relates to LOA as well as responsible for responding to all employee questions, concerns and issues about LOA benefits in a timely manner.
  • Respond to and manage the company’ s employee injury program.
  • Manage the information for the portal on the intranet site for employees.
  • Conduct any new hire orientations and onboarding programs for new hires.
  • Update and maintain a budget information for units.
  • Work in partnership with Human Resources members to ensure employees are properly following the FMLA, STD and LTD leave policy.
  • Responsible for the unemployment claims process.
  • Respond and coach management on how to effectively resolve employee relations and performance issues.
  • Other duties as assigned 

  • Bachelor’ s degree in Human Resources Management, Human Resources Development, Business Administration or closely related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive Human Resource experience required.
  • Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
  • Working knowledge of HR practices and trends.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and tactically.
  • Strong verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Able to maintain professional confidentiality.
  • Provide a high level of customer service to all employees within the organization.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, pay close attention to detail and meet deadlines
