The Role:   Business Development Manager

Location: Dallas, TX

The Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive sales for a well-established regional accounting and finance consulting, interim staffing and executive search firm.  The Business Development Manager will cultivate meaningful customer relationships, build a strong pipeline of business, close deals and play an integral part in helping to grow and expand the firm in the Dallas market.

Responsibilities:
  • Build a consistently strong pipeline of leads and identify possible channel partnerships that leverage existing channel partners
  • Develop, grow, and manage strong client relationships, adding value through subject matter expertise, a creative approach to solving problems, and a commitment to excellent customer service
  • Proactively monitor and strive to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in the sales organization’ s planning efforts
  • Initiate, plan, and coordinate activities with other functions and stakeholders within the firm as needed
  • Client management including building team relationships and utilization of own subject matter expertise
  • Work to ensure all sales organization objectives are completed in a timely fashion
  • Build peer support and strong internal-company relationships with other key management personnel
  • Assist management in understanding process bottlenecks and inconsistencies and facilitate an organization of continuous process improvement.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5+ years of recent sales or business development experience required
  • Minimum 3 years of experience successfully selling consulting or related services to senior-level accounting and finance executives
  • Demonstrated sales success and ability to drive company and revenue growth
  • Expertise in negotiating, evaluating and selling to customer needs, sales planning, building relationships, prioritizing opportunities, and managing processes
  • Bachelor’ s degree required, CPA or MBA highly preferred
  • Must be networked in the Dallas/Fort Worth market with buyers of the firm’ s services, specifically senior-level accounting and finance executives
  • Team oriented, entrepreneurial, and willing to do what it takes
  • This is a remote opportunity so someone who is self-directed, driven, and able to work remotely and independently is a must
  • Well-developed communication and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision making and negotiation skills
